'Welcome to ghost town'

The sad picture painted of Neath in a recent article shows how the region's long-term decline has been ignored by the ruling Labour Party politicians, from council to assembly to MPs. It's time for change. There is a deep sadness among many in Neath who rightly want better for their town - and feel they are not getting any help from their elected politicians.

"Welcome to ghost town" was the headline of the Walesonline article about Neath back in July. It was uncomfortable and depressing reading as it described the town "blighted by dwindling footfall, a rise in begging, lost high street names and rising anti-social behaviour."

There was usual trading of statistics between the journalist and NPT council about just how bad the situation is but, the article said, "it is impossible not to notice the amount of empty shops" and the sadness of longer-term residents who have witnessed the decline. One resident concludes: "It is rotten here."

There are plans to redevelop the town centre but the plans are just plans. A vote for the Brexit Party and its diverse and experienced MP candidates across south Wales can do a better job for Neath and other communities.

It's time to have a change - vote Brexit Party in the general election. People who care about Neath - and that's those who are traditionally Labour and Tory voters - must lend us your vote.
