Corbyn on Brexit - the leave vote utterly betrayed

Corbyn equivocation will mean that the Welsh vote to leave the EU will be dishonoured, disrespected and disregarded and utterly betrayed by Labour. "Brexit in name only" is the best you'll get from Labour - and that's not Brexit.
Jeremy Corbyn appeared on The Andrew Marr Show on Sunday 17 November. He was asked about both Labour’s and his personal position on Brexit.
Asked by Marr if he wants the UK to leave the EU or not, he said:
"We're going to put that choice to the British people, and they will make that decision. We'll negotiate within three months a credible, sensible option of Leave, and put that alongside Remain in a referendum."
Pressed about his own personal view, the Labour leader said:
"I want a close relationship with the EU in the future. And we will put that decision to the British people, and I will abide by that decision. That's the view we've come to in the Labour Party… A Leave option would mean a trade relationship with Europe, and it would mean protection of rights, and obviously that includes protection of the Good Friday Agreement."
It is reported that he had five separate chances to clarify his position and five times he equivocated. This is the man who as recently as last year was insisting “you have to respect the result of that referendum” which delivered the historic Leave vote in 2016.
